I first started performing with Utah Valley Symphony when I was a senior in high school! (That was a long time ago.) I have played under several conductors and have made many friends in this group. I did stop when I had my 6th and 7th children, twins. I figured I would go back when life got easier again. Years later, when the twins graduated high school and I was teaching full time as a music teacher I performed with a small group for the school musical. I realized how much I missed performing and decided to go back to symphony even though life didn't seem easier. Now I have retired from school teaching and only teach privately. Because I am not working with orchestras, I am enjoying symphony even more. Music has always played an important role in my life and continues to do so.
